R56 09 mini s motor replacement
09 mini s motor replacement
I just picked up an 09 cooper s needs a motor. Should I buy a used one or remanufactured? Ballpark pricing any recommendations on Boston area independent Techs that could handle the job. Thank You
First, hi and welcome...
Second, why does it need a engine?
Third, I've seen used engines on Fleebay for about $2500, Or you can check out Car-part.com. A reman from MINI will be about $6500...

I say rebuild it with stronger pars. Shouldn't cost more than a regular used engine.
Boston area
Talk to the mechanics at http://www.greasysgarage.com/. They are well spoken of by the people on massmotoringclub.com (Greasy's does sponsor the forum). You would have to get the car to Worcester. I would be talking to them if I were in the same situation.
