I've had a thread in the audio section for quite a long time with no answer and i'm just going to post here because it'll be seen. I'm getting ready to install a subwoofer into my 2011 mini cooper S with the HK system. I'm wondering where the best place to install the LOC is. Can I tap the speaker wires before they go into the rear amp? I'm hoping yes because that would be fantastic and easy. if not please someone clarify for me.

 

I think with the HK, the frequency switch is after the amp so what you planned should be ok. Check out the front/rear channel swap thread first post for the wire colors

 

Im just wondering if the rear bass signal is all messed up like the non HK system. because then i would have to hook it up to the front.
