Chicago Area Walnut Blasting

Anyone know of a place that does the media (walnut) blasting for the intake valves in the Chicago area?

I got a 2011 R56s with 46k miles, and already had MINI do some work on one of the valves when the engine threw a code. They said it was prob due to the carbon build up. I'd like to just have it blasted to be on the safe side.

Just an update. Car has been running great. I've seen a 3-5mpg improvement in mileage on average fill up. Car also idles much better on a cold start. Before it would jump around a bit, but is much more stable now.

Anyways, I wild definitely recommend getting this done to your mini around 35-50k miles.

I just bought a 2007 R56 with 111K on it. I guess I need to look around the local area for someone who does this.

We live in TN now, but used to live near A-Spec Tuning. I'm going to have the walnut blasting done there next week while visiting relatives. I'll do a before and after dyno and post my results. My wife's 2010 S has just under 30K miles on it and appears to be running great, but I'll do it just to make her feel better.

Let us know what you see!

Ironically enough, I grew up in TN and now live near A-Spec. What part of TN are you living in now?

$300 is a great deal. Wish I lived in the suburbs still. I'm trying to find somebody out here in Las Vegas that does walnut blasting.
