R56 Squeeky suspesion
Squeeky suspesion
Hi guys, I just lowered my 2013 R56 with eibach springs. After doing so, I'm getting a sqeeking noise that I think is coming from somewhere in my front passenger side. Anybody else experience this? Any sugestions?
1: Make sure all hardware is tight. I've heard of the main center nut atop the struts working themselves a bit loose after suspension work. Double check that.
2: How did the strut mounts look when you did the suspension upgrade? A squeaking or chirping noise when your suspension travels over bumps or into dips is often a strut mount. Thankfully, those aren't terribly cheap parts at all and new ones with your freshly upgraded suspension is worth doing anyway.

turn the radio up louder

but seriously. You could be chasing squeaks for a long time. Common things are swaybar bushings and spring perches. Hit them with some sort of spray lubricant and if that fixes the issue you've found your problem. Then you have to take them apart and lube them properly. But make sure everything is tight first.
