i want a tuner chip
Forgive me, i've not done that much research on this. I know a few of the options out there, but I know there is a much greater source of information here that is untapped. Here's what I want, seems pretty simple in my head. I plan on keeping the car mostly stock. Bigger intercooler, a freer flowing muffler and a dry flow panel filter, thats about all I have planned.
-When the car turns on, I want the car to default to the current "Sport" mode (light off) with the sharper turning and throttle response.
-When I turn the Sport more button on, I want it to be the full gonzo tuner mode. We'll call it "Works +" and it would have higher RPM range, more boost, more power etc.
Does this exist?

Sport always on
You can get half of what you are looking for:

There are chips that you can buy andinstall that will default the Sport button to that last stat you had it in. Soif it was ‘ON’ and you turn off the car, when you turn it on next time thesport button will turn ON without you needing to do any thing.

Not sure what you mean by retain. The sport button will still work the same (steering feel tightens up and throttle response increases), at least my tune does that. I'm sure the other tunes are the same. It's not a very useful button to be honest, I still think MINI had it right with the R53. It's "always" on sport. lol
