BSH is the obvious choice...
Good morning NAM,
Although this thread might be better placed in the R56 Modifications area I felt that this would be seen by more people here.
I have some great things to say about BSH. Several of their products adorn my car. One being the OCC for my N14.
Let me start by saying my first experience with BSH was a little rough as my first OCC ordered was defective right out of the box. I contacted BSH and Brad and Ken were very focused on getting me one that worked. But since BSH had a new fabricator for its OCC's it would be another 3 months before I received my replacement can.
My replacement can came in and I was very excited to finally have an OCC in place on my N14. This can would last me almost a year before I encountered the same problem with it. The screen inside broke off.
One email and a phone call helped cure this matter as Ken and Brad again went to work on getting me a replacement. Ken was VERY surprised that I had the very same problem as my first can as the new fabricator was very careful about ensuring the 'screen' in the new batch were attached/secured well. Maybe it was vibration, who knows. The fact of the matter was the screen became detached again.
Ken offered to replace my OCC without question! Even almost a year later! I had my receipt in hand and kept in contact. It wasn't but a mere week in wait and I now have my new OCC sitting on my desk here at work.
After some inspection the welds are better. The paint/powder coat is better, the dipstick is more quality and ready for this?! The screen goes all the way down to the bottom of the can (old one only went down 1/3 of the way), which I feel is a better means of capturing the oil from the PCV system.
Hats off to BSH as they have made me very happy about my new OCC.
Matt
