Emergency Brake on a '09 S

I have a 2009 S and I treat it very well the other day, I was driving and the emergency brake light came on and told me I had the emergency brake on. It's been two days and it won't go away. Whenever I park, I pull the emergency brake and put it back so it isn't on, and the light won't seem to go anyway. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

May be a dumb question, but are you due for a brake service?

I don't think so, because when I turn the car on and the brake light is there, a picture comes up with the emergency brake on the bottom of the car.

Keep in mind that the brake light on the tach will turn red if there is another immediate problem that's not necessarily related to the brakes. It almost functions like a common red alarm. You might want to post some pictures of what you are seeing.

My mini did the same thing this week. I reset the service schedules in the tach, and the light went out. I do not understand it, but it is ok now.

Are you sure it's emergency brake light and not brake wear sensor or low brake fluid light?
There are multitide of brake-related color-coded warning lights and messages, see pages 12 and 128 of the manual below to decipher:
