I'm wanting to install an aftermarket aluminum spoiler. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to mount it to the roof rather than the hatch. However, that poses a problem when the hatch is open the stock MCS spoiler would hit it causing the hatch to not open completely. My question is, does anyone know where I could find the rear trim piece ( which I have no clue what its called), that would delete the MCS spoiler? Preferably not from the dealer as I don't want to pay that much for it. Or any other suggestions are welcome.

Take a look at a non S MINI and see if that's what you're looking for. It's a very conservative spoiler that might suit your needs. You can can probably swap your oem S spoiler for a justa spoiler with someone here on the forum.

 

I have a non-s spoiler in lightning blue that you can easily paint black. PM me if you are interested.

You can also try Real OEM. Not all Justas come with a spoiler (it's an option), so there WOULD be a flat panel that would go in place of the spoiler.

 

That little panel (or spoiler) at the top of the justa hatch costs over $300 (primed) as an oem part. I'd look for a used part or a trade first.
