R56 Cracked my wheel :(
Cracked my wheel :(
So tonight i ended up hitting a pothole and it didnt end well. I cracked one of my wheels and it wont hold air. Theyre pretty old and beat up so I've decided to get an all new set, but first i have a few questions that i cant seem to find good answers on.
Currently running 18x8 et40 with a 215/40
I think i want to go to a 17 inch wheel, but i dont want to lose the 8 inch width. All of the offsets i can find on 17s are in the 20 area. The ones i want are 17x8 +20.. If i ran like a 215 or a 205 how bad do you think my rubbing would be? Im just about to install my coilovers and i plan on closing the wheelgap completely.
Thanks.

or would a 17x7.5, et42 be a better choice with a 205/40.????
i want my wheels wide enough to be flush with the fenders, but they dont have to poke. I just hate the look when they dont fill up if you know what i mean.
