Get rid of the subs and you'll have a little more cargo room...

haha that definitely looks like subs in there, I was thinking the same thing...but nope...that's just how it looked under the seats. the bare metal and two circular seat things bolted down.

Those are the fuel pump access panels not sub's. I'm in the camp of removing back seats from hatch backs. I took mine out within weeks of owning the car

Both my kids ride in the back of the Mini everyday to and from school so I need them. If I run D stock or even STX on the weekends I have to have them in for that as well.

Looks rather spacious back there with them out.

What type of weight savings do you gain with them out?

I estimated all the pieces to be around 35 pounds? give or take 5

Good job on deleting the rear seats!
Wish that I did this in my old MCS. It was surprising how many times drunk friends would force and squeeze themselves into that backseat.

Solution: I now drive a Roadster S!

I kept the seat bottom in place as the noise was horrible without it. It only weights ~5 pounds or so IIRC.

hmm...I think the entire rear seat assembly felt about 35 lbs...like someone mentioned.

the passenger seat definitely felt heavier...maybe 40-45 lbs?
