R56 07 MC. Yellow check engine light

07 MC. Yellow check engine light

It has 64K miles, been running great, and the light came on. Dealer is 1 1/2 hr away and its NYE, so I'm hoping someone here can point me toward a diagnostic starting point.
Suggestions??

most decent autopart stores and some chain garages will read the OBD code for free.

Most of the time 'check engine' is emissions related

Thanks. Have an AZ and O's close by, will try them. Will try to find on line where the plug is located.

The OBDII port is inside your car. Take it to Autozone, they'll read it for free. If it's not blinking than it's most likely a sensor/emissions related code as the previous poster stated.
