does anyone in MD/DC area has a spark plug removal tool and can loan it to me?

Not really a tool. Just use a 8 point 14mm(I think it might be smaller). The 8 point is thin enough on the side to fit.

 

The R56 plugs require a special 12pt socket.

yamaximka: if you lived closer, I'd gladly loan you mine. Just bought one about a month ago when I changed my own plugs. Maybe check a nearby Sears....they sometimes carry them....will likely be close to $30, though. If you end up ordering one online, Waymotorworks had it for around $15 as I recall (great price).

 

A deep socket will work and you're right my info is a little off I just couldn't remember the size but, I did remember it was the high point one. Harbour Freight is where it is at.
