I have noticed my steering wheel MINI emblem has been looking shabby lately - a discoloration under the plastic coating. Also, my warranty expires at the end of the month. On something of a lark I stopped by my MINI dealer this afternoon and said - is this covered under warranty - and they said - it sure is :-) no questions asked.

They have to replace the entire air bag assembly - not just the 2 cent plastic emblem. I think the part lists for something on the order of $500.
