Did my MINI play a joke on me??
So I have the Connected option and today was the first time I've launched the app on my iPhone and had it plugged into the car. I guess I have Mission Control on (the option that makes the car talk to you).
It's 67 and clear skies outside, I have both windows and the sunroof fully open. About 5 min into the drive coach comes on the radio and says something like "It looks like it's about time to close the sunroof.... Pleeeease!". I checked the outside temp thinking she was referring to it being cold outside but it wasn't too bad. About 5 seconds later sprinkles hit my windshield and come inside through the sunroof.
Usually if you turn on the wipers and the window is open she'll say something about closing the windows because it's raining. But I didn't have the wipers on and I don't have the auto-sensing wiper option. So there is no way the car could have known that any sort of rain was coming and even if it noticed the sprinkles it would not have predicted them coming, it would have warned a few seconds after the sprinkles.
Also, it hasn't rained in 4 days and still never rained after that quick spurt of sprinkles that lasted a whole second.
Then I thought that maybe the windshield washers had activated and sprayed some fluid but my right hand was on the shifter so it wasn't me and there was no foamy fluid on the windshield and the wipers didn't turn on like they usually do when I use the washer fluid.
So this leaves me with 3 unlikely options.
1) The car predicted the future.
2) The car is coming to life and played a joke on me by spraying the windshield washers after I didn't close the sunroof.
3) The car was saying to close the sunroof because of the mild temp and the sprinkles were a coincidence.

Haha yeah but passengers get a kick out of it and i like how the engine reads me 0-60 times. As long as the car doesn't start to come alive and take over I'm cool with them riding along
