R56 Back in the fold
Back in the fold
Well, sort of. I had some of the first Minis in Hawaii when they were released. I bought a MC for myself and a CVT for my mom. I had problems with the MC and got a MCS instead. Sold it in 03 and got rid of mom's CVT in 03 as there were tranny problems. Fast forward to summer '12 and mom wants another MINI.
Just picked up a '10 MCS auto for mom. I got a very good deal on the car and it only has 21k, and warranty until 9/14. She seems happy with the car and the warranty gives me peace of mind. I can't believe I paid less for this car than what I paid for my base MC in '02!

Impressive! How comfortable is she getting in and out? I've got an aunt in her 60s that's sick of clambering in and out of low-slung sports cars when I take her somewhere. I've still got my Boxster, but I'm hoping the MCS will be easier for her. My sister drives her more often and has a CR-V but I'm not prepared to drive something that soulless.
Mom has no problem getting in or out of the MCS. After all, she is the bionic woman with 2 new knees, 2 titanium rods in her femurs and pins in both ankles. She's even gotten into my 911 turbo, but hates it as it is loud.
