Has anyone installed a BSH OCC on a 2012 MCS? The can does not fit at the firewall where the tab is, rubs against the air intake and electrical units. Any ideas where to mount it? Not much room in there.

 

You'll find that if you bend the L-bracket open just a bit, to ~95 deg, you'll establish sufficient clearance to mount it from the alarm switch tab in that location without issues. For added insurance, I also put a small square of sticky-backed Velcro (the fuzzy side) on the can where it is closest to the intake and electrical box, in case a harmonic engine vibration at certain RPMs caused the can to make contact.

That's the "standard" mounting location and lots of folks have installed it there. Keep working at adjusting the position of the mount and I think you'll achieve success.

how do I install the catch can at that site when I have the hood latch sensor taking up that tab?
