Anyone installed a rear seat delete in their R56?

How difficult is removing the rear seats?

 

Friend did this. A search on the topic should yield you several threads on the subject. Rear seats are easy to take off. Bottom cushion is clipped in and just needs a good yank and backrests are both connected by a center port which just needs a flathead to push on the locking mechanism then lift out.

 

My boot is gutted. It's pretty easy to remove the seats. I did it purely for weight reduction. Prepare to hear more of your exhaust and road noise

 

I removed them on a R50/R53 and it was a little tricky to not break a tab. Did not know if the newer ones were easier. i'll do a search.
