Just an update... going much slower than last time.

Got the car in the booth.



















Though I forgot to upload the pics, the entire car is now painted. We've started to put it back together and hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have to order a new engine from Mini.

I called in my chassis guy and though it's doable, honestly, I've got too much on my plate to devote the time or money into installing a small block chevy.

So stock engine goes in.

I'll post more pics when I upload them and as the car gets more done.

So does "stock engine" mean "stock-stock" or "stock-special"?

Either way it is fun watching.

 

As much as it pains me to even type it, it means "stock-stock".

If this had been a JCW, I would have at least played with it a bit but being a stock S with lesser pistons and turbo, I just didn't see the point.

The car had a tune, alta intercooler, down pipe and stuff on it. I'm putting it back to stock and selling the stuff.

I wonder how it woud have looked with red all the way around the bottom since you were painting those parts anyway.
