Reprogram After Walnut Blast Changed Oil Service Interval

Anyone else notice this? Early US production (5/2007) R56 MCS Auto Coupe.

I don't pay that much attention to the oil indicator since I change every 6mo/7.5k miles (wifes car, doesn't put many miles on it) and most service I do is time based not mileage...

I seem to recall that the old CBS oil setting was like 20k miles or something. I got this before they suggested the 1yr changes (I did them anyway).

After the walnut service they did a full reprogram of the car, supposedly it alters some of the fuel maps to help control carbon buildup - at least this is what the mechanic at the dealership told me. Yeah, actually talked to the tech, not advisor. Buildup was bad, but after service car runs great.

Upon checking the CBS after the service, I noticed the Oil interval dropped by 1/2 from what it was. The other items stayed same.

Anyone else see this?
