R56 Squeak/Creak in Front End
Squeak/Creak in Front End
My '07 Justa has developed an annoying noise that seems to be related to the front steering/suspension. It's only noticeable when the car is stopped and turning the steering wheel. Doesn't seem to be sway bar bushings since it doesn't happen in a straight line going very slowly (1mph) over a bump with just one wheel, but more likely related to turning the wheels right/left. Components in the front are all stock, and car just turned 65k.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Maybe a dry tie rod end? It might help to have someone else steer the wheels with the car at rest and you up front listening for the noise so you can pinpoint the origin. Sometimes you can feel the vibration accompanying a squeak with your fingertips. Mechanic's stethoscopes are handy for nailing down noises too.
Best of luck,

Thanks. I've spoken with my mechanics and will let them do a lube job on the whole car. If that doesn't fix it, I'll take more drastic steps. I'm sure it's nothing serious, though.
