Satellite Radio locking up

I've had this happen a couple times, and I was wondering if I'm the only one.
I have the base model stereo in a 2012 MCS.
I will be driving, and listening to Sirius and start channel surfing to find a song I like. If I don't find one, I'll go to FM radio and try a local station. The problem occurs when I try to go back to Sirius. I select "Satellite" from the menu, and it switches over, except it only will play "Hits 1", it won't let me go to any other station. It won't let me manually tune or search categories to switch nor will it let me use the preset buttons. If I go back to FM, that portion works fine. The only way I've found to fix it is to shut the car off for a while.
If it got stuck on a good station, this wouldn't be a problem, but Hits 1 is terrible. Not my cup of tea.
Anyone heard of this?
I haven't contacted my dealer yet, as its only happened a couple times. It's a looong commute home when you can't listen to good music!

My '09 JCW has done that seven times over the past few years. My resolution was to an new download from Sirius. You have to have the Sirius ON and outside in order to get the download. Call the 888 number on the radio display, get one of the foreign CS people to send the signal while you are runes to channel 184. You may have to wait with car running but do not let them off the hook or you will not have sirius

this has happened to me too, several times

what i have found is to use the steering wheel right arrow button to change to stored sat channel 2

it works normally after that

so far has worked 100% of the time

I have the same problem in my 11 MCS, only way to fix it has been to turn the car off and start over. I did notice that it only happens after my wife drives the car with her unique set of presets assigned to her key fob. If the car is left on a preset channel on satellite radio that does not match up with my presets it locks up, only to be resolved by restarting the car.

It seems to be a software glitch that causes the radio to lock up because it can not resolve the different presets between the two key fobs.

Thanks for posting everyone, at least I know I'm not alone. It's happened to me twice over the past 4 months. The first time it happened I called Sirius and they refreshed my signal but it didn't work. The level 2 support person told me to have the dealer check it out, which I had planned to do but my channels came back the next time I started the car.

It's been fine for the past 3 or so months until the problem popped up again a week ago. And went away again the next time I started my car. I have to try the steering wheel button next time, I never thought of doing that.

I've used the button on the steering wheel to no avail. My next service is coming up in a couple weeks. I'll ask the service dept. if they've heard of it.
It makes me feel better that others have this problem too.
