Has anyone had issues with quality of the bluetooth? people on the other end of my phone calls always tell me it sounds like I have my windows open even with them closed. i've resorted to using my iphone headset

 

In my 2011 I think it's great! My mom complains about the quality but she doesn't have a smart phone. Everyone else in my family has an iPhone or similar and I've heard no other complaints. I conduct a lot of business calls over it and have never received a complaint either on the highway or in the city.

Sometimes I leave my sunroof open in the city and the quality is still pretty good.

If they changed something in '11, I might try swapping microphones and see if that helps.

 

In my R57 it is the poor location of the mic. In convertibles it is in the steering column right in front of the AC vent!

In R56 it is by dome lights - better but still far away from your mouth. I get such bad complaints that I can't use the built in mic and I use wired headset on my iPhone 4.

I have no problems, get no complaints in my 2011. Sunroof open or closed, A/C on or off.
