Supercharger?

This may be a pretty stupid question; but would it be possible to add the R53 supercharger to the R56 whilst keeping the R56 turbo? I asked Alta if they do anything supercharger + turbo kits, but I was told they only make those for the R53. I ask because it doesn't look like there is enough room for two turbos. Or is there a good option for a single turbo? Thanks for the advice in advance.

You are talking about twincharging and Helix did it to an R53 but, no one has done it to an R56. Tuning is going to be the biggest obsticle.

The technical answer is 'yes'. Qualified with "how fast do you want to spend?"
Simpler/better/cheaper ways to get more power.

This would be my biggest concern with that engine. Anything can be done if you are willing to pay as long as the engine can handle it.

Anything can be done with enough $$ and time....
But why? What percieved advantage do you think you would get beyond a bigger turbo and a tune?!
Combining a turbo and the stock sc on the gen1 was basicly a failure...
A few oem's have experimented with the idea, but the technology of the turbo has advanced to the point that the extra $$ and complexity for such a modest gain is a nogo.
