increase boost but engine light show up.

HI i'm quite new to the site. But would like to know does any one have the same problem as me. I have change the turbo intercooler the ignitor. When on full boost the engine shows up. When I look at the fault code it say "boost pressure control deviation, plausibility."
Has any one came across with this problem.
Thanks

Exactly which fault code number are you getting?

You put a new turbo on? Presumably a bigger one? If that's the case, it sounds like it is generating more boost than the car thinks it "should" have. In a stock MINI, that could mean that the wastegate is jammed shut, which can potentially cause very expensive problems.

You might need a tune so that your MINI likes its new boost levels. And it's probably a good idea to help keep the engine alive anyway, if you're changing the air flow significantly like that.

That code, P2885, is generated by the diverter valve seeing too much or too little boost, i.e. boost leak or vacuum issue, or as the previous post mentioned you might just need a proper tune. Good luck
