Invisi Shield on Bonnet

HELP! I have a beautiful BRG R56 with invishield on the bonnet. It's coming up slightly & appears like a white horizontal line right across the bonnet. It really mars the looks of my Cricket - i cant peel it off- it'll ruin the paint finish. Any ideas on how to camoflage this? That will look good? Any other owners that have had this problem & solved it -I really don't want to replace the hood or have it stripped off & repainted-too expensive. A horizontal racing stripe would make it look stubby ....

Why would it ruin the paint? It is there to protect it. Over time it takes the beating that the paint would otherwise take. It is removed with heat and can be replaced. It is just like a sticker. If it would remove the paint there would be no benefit from just repainting the hood when it gets chipped. I would find out from the place that installed it about what can be done. On my 08 it was pealing up not long after new. I took it back and the cut off the part that was lifting.

The white line across the edge of the clear bra is a build up of wax and contaminants. Carefully go along the line of the bra with some q-tips. Don't press hard or you can scratch your paint.

If it's really heavy, go along the edge with a thin microfiber cloth first, then use the q-tip to get what's left.

To add to this - it helps if you dip the qtip in alcohol to remove the crud. If it's not getting better you might drop by a tint shop that installs invisi-shield and see if they have any suggestions.

I've used the PF1 cleaning products for the clear bras on my my Mini, Mustang, and the wifes SUV and they work great. They are designed just for this application.

Pre Wow on a Q-tip works really well too.
I did it all around the vinyl wrap on my sunroof.
It made a huge difference.
