Max speed in each gear

I couldn't find this data. I need the max speed in each gear (for 6MT). I need this for Harry's Lap Timer.

Anyone know this?

thanks.

Know your transmission gear ratios and final drive ratio?
With that you can simply calculate such.

Wouldn't the guesser from half way across the continent have to know if the engine is stock or rebuilt for competition? I mean, it would be nice to know max RPM before pistons and rods start going in opposite directions.

Don't know why you need that. My copy of Harry's Lap Timer takes in the gear ratios, the tire size and max revs and calculates the max speed in each gear. I've got a spread sheet which does much the same thing.

I'm doing something wrong... Below is the data I entered to HLT:

Max torque: 177ft-lb @ 1600rpm
Max power: 181hp at 5500rpm
Red line: 6500rpm
Shift Flash: 95%

Tire size: 205/45-17

Final drive ratio: 3.65

Gear 1: 3.31
Gear 2: 2.13
Gear 3: 1.48
Gear 4: 1.14
Gear 5: 0.95
Gear 6: 0.82

Based on this, max speeds shown by HLT is:

Gear 1: 33mph
Gear 2: 51mph
Gear 3: 74mph
Gear 4: 96mph
Gear 5: 115mph
Gear 6: 133mph

These max speed numbers are incorrect.

Your speeds are off by ~15% it seems.

Those are pretty similar to the numbers Harry's gives me. It seems to be calculating max speed as 85% of max revs. I'm not aware that its made a difference to anything.

Edit To Add: It seems to be calculating max speed at max power, 5500 rpm.

Seems like you're right! When I changed the max power to 6500rpm from 5500rpm, all the speed calculations are now correct. I guess I will keep it this way.
