There's plenty of info around on it, it's probably one of the best know problems with the new motor. If left unattended indefinitely, there is a good chance the timing chain will eventually jump a tooth / teeth or break entirely, either of which would result in catastrophic failure of the valve-train and likely the entire engine. IIRC, the full fix is well into the 1k+ range (though I sometimes feel damn near everything is), so you'd want to factor that in to your final purchase decision.

well i told them about it, i even found a tsb on it, so they told me that they would check it out... so hopefully yesterday i will have a properly operating new mini, im pretty excited
