Just bought '12 mini

I was just curious if this is normal. When I shift from 1st to 2nd I can hear it in the gearbox. This only happens from 1st to 2nd. Cant hear it from and other gear?
Thank You!!

I know you're new, but you need to provide more extensive details than such.
Have you shut the car off, and run through the gears while stationary?
What's the difference in the "noise" you hear than any of the other gear selections?

If you feel it's really horrible, you should be heading to the dealer to get answers as your new 2012 vehicle has an active warranty.

No noise in other gears. No noise when shut off an going through gears. It's doesn't sound like grinding, kind of like a clicking noise.

One click, like the meshing of a synchro, ...or several clicks?

Not multiple clicks, just like one.

If you think that there is a problem and if it sounds like there is a problem, take it back to the dealer.

One click is probably just normal...go back to the dealer and if they say it's normal but you STILL aren't sure, ask if they have another 2012 on the lot you can test drive to see if it feels the same.

I did this to prove my shifter was WAYYY stiffer than it should've been in my 2008 MCS when I got it.
