potential purchase need advice

Hello All, I have searched through the forum and can't really find what I'm looking for.

I need advice on purchasing a 83k milage MCS all stock, 6 speed MT. 1 owner

Good or bad, is it worth $13.8k What can I expect in terms of engine longevity? What should I look for on this car? How much is clutch at an inde? Do people rebuild these engines or source used/reman'd ones?

Love the looks etc. Just want to make sure I'm not buying a money pit.

Thanks all!

What year?

Convertible or Hatch?

What region has the car lived in?...Winters?

If its one owner?...ask him/her for to supply full maintenance history. That will tell you a lot about the specific car.

Seems a bit high in mileage for a 2007. The price, however, reflects the mileage so if the car is in good shape, and you can get the maintenance records, you'll most likely do OK.
If it were me, I'd shop for a lower mileage car and be willing to fork over a bit more cash for it. That's just my opinion as I realize individual choices as to mileage, price, condition, etc, is a personal thing so you'll need to evaluate where you are in consideration to these things.

Unless fully prepared and can keep a considerable amount of cash in reserves for unexpected repairs, I would be nervous buying MINI over 60k. Been there done that.
