Makes me wonder if they correctly identified the actual root cause. Their initial fix might have only been a band-aid.

In the grand scheme of things, a thermostat and Bluetooth is a pretty short list of issues although I realize that doesn't make them any less inconvenient to you. Sorry this has soured your MINI experience.

I've 15K on the clock in my '11 and I haven't had so much as a dash rattle. It has been the model of perfection and fun. My previous '05 needed the "standard" leaky thermostat and motor mount replacements but was otherwise a great car. I hope the vast majority of owners out there share a similar level of satisfaction.

All the best in your search for a new make/model. I hope your expectations are met to a reasonable level.

Hmm same issue on my 2011 also sometimes when its really cold. Coughs and sputters and almost stalls. I had it stall one really cold morning three times in a row.

Im due for my free service now so I have a list of things to have them look at....

Hmmm i kind of notice this happening with my 2011 Mini...but ill give it a few more weeks. I just got over 5k miles so hopefully its not the same issue everyone is having. I havent had any noticeable drop in power or anything like that or any "stuttering" when taking off....

This is my first mini but i know all cars have their issues, thats why we have warranty's

Two months ago my 08 was running rough when cold for the first three blocks or so. This went on for a few weeks. I took it out on the highway and drove it a few miles keeping the rpms between 4,000 and 5,000. Has run great ever since. Coincidence? I don't know.

Run some injector cleaner through the car. Let the tank get half empty then fill the gas tank. Let the tank get 1/2 empty once more then fill it up again. See if this solves your problem.
