side mirror covers

I have seen these covers being offered and was wondering if anybody had done an install and could shed light on how hard or not hard it is. I'm thinking of the black union jack covers for my black R56 w/ white bonnet.
Thanks
Luke

It's really pretty easy; about 5 minutes per side. Go to the 2nd Generation "How To" forum for an excellent tutorial by slimjimtell.

Quite quite simple. I did the mirror covers and clear sidemarkers on my girlfriends 2010 MC in under 5 minutes.

The other thread probably goes into additional detail but the process is as follows. Push mirror glass in at the top as far as it was will so you can see the two lower tabs belonging to the mirror cover. Have a look at the tabs on the new cover so you get an idea of where they are and how they look. You can release these tabs by depressing them with a small flathead screwdriver. (it doesn't take much effort) Once you have the lower two tabs 'unclipped' you can try some gentle prying at the bottom of the mirror cover and the other tabs should release relatively easily. I believe there are 5 total if I remember correctly but simply releasing the bottom two is enough to get the other ones to pop out.

Sounds MUCH more difficult in words than it is in practice. Very simple and really changes the look of the car immensely.

Enjoy!

I was thinking of getting JCW carbon-fiber ones, but for almost $400 EACH decided I wasn't that rich.
