Idle issue...IAC?

My 08 mcs has a check engine light and the idle bounces up and down which leads me to believe its the IAC, does anyone know where it's located and if it can be cleaned like most cars or just buy a new one?

You have a CEL, but haven't scanned to confirm / deny what the ECU is telling you?
Scan first and data-log some key elements before throwing parts at the car... It'll save you serious hassle.

There is no specific Idle Control Actuator (IAC) for the N14 engine.
As a result the Electronic Throttle Control (EDK) and the throttle valve stepper-motor regulate idle via the throttle body.
