How do you remove the lens cover on the map/reading lights to replace the bulb? I felt like I was going to break it when I tried to pry it with a flathead, the whole toggle switch assembly started to separate when I was doing this?

Slide the cover directly sideways (use your hand, not a tool) toward the outside of the car. It'll pop loose.

And I found getting the bulb out is quite the chore too. After trying a dental pick, plastic tipped tweezers, etc...I ended up using a strip of duct tape. Stuck the duct tape to it, wrapping it a bit, and pulling straight out. New bulb (LED) inserted using a piece of 1/2" vinyl tubing, bulb pressed into the end of it and inserted. Once there was some tension, twisted the tubing to remove, then pressed the bulb into place.

Worked for me...

 

yeah thank for that. I was perplexed too. Wanted some direction and not brute force and $50 bill with Mini to replace.
