I just bought an 08 hardtop. It was displaying the passenger side airbag is off warning, along with a couple of seat belt type warning lights when I took delievery a few days ago. I found the passenger side under seat connetor laying on the floor, so I reconnected it. It fell off again, probably when I moved the seat. The dealer selling the car is not a Mini dealer, but is sending it to a Mini dealed today at their expence. Is there a fix to keep this connected? Thanks

 

That connector definitely will cause the error messages you stated.

The dealer will probably replace the plug housing (as tabs probably have been broken).

Once they do that, they have to connect the car to their computer system to reset the airbag light.

Should be a relatively simple fix.
