In answer to the questions above, I got my sport stripes at the dealer parts department - MINI of St Louis. I recall them being about $70 with the club discount. Try the online store on your dealer's or MINI USA website. As for installation, I had their shop do it when I took the car in for its 12-month service. They did an excellent job!

Ya know, I've been thinking about this thread and my car, and I'm really still amazed about how "perfect" the little Mini is right out of the box.

I've done a few things to tailor it to my personal tastes, but I could have lived with the little car perfectly stock for many many years and still had a bunch of fun.

Of course, I bought the British Racing Green one, so it was a bit better than most of them right from the start.

1st mod go round... Auto Sport module, shorty antenna, 16" Konig wheels and snow tires. (didn't even have the car yet...lol) V1 install the day it was delivered.

2nd mod go round..: Alta FMIC, RMW tune, Wing lip

3ed JCW strut brace, Koni's, TSW springs, Hsport antiroll bars and camber arms (didn't really need the camber arms...)

4th Torque arm insert, WMW bypass valve, oil catch can...

It still needs more front camber...

BSH catch can, then JCW strut tower brace, hardwired my 995i, and added a K&N filter off the mass air flow sensor. I want to add body colored headlight rings and grill surround, swap fog light bulbs for 3000k color either hid with projectors or nokya bulbs, swap to led bulbs on the outside, delete rear seat and make into a couch, rays volk te37 or oz aggerillita wheels and some good tires, maybe sway bars, and finally a projector retrofit for the halogens I have now.

First mod to my MINI was a V1, hardwired and mounted to the rearview mirror, an aftermarket XM radio thing, also hardwired and mounted below the switches in front of the cupholders, I also installed my scanguage II from my previous car just below the ignition spot.

Soon to come will be possibly a glovebox organizer thing, 35w HIDs, some tint, and I will be converting most of the interior lights to LEDs. I love this car!

I love the scanguage. I had it on my truck before I had the mini, and I considered it one of the best things I purchased for the truck. Kept track of water temp, oil temp, transmission temp, all sorts of useful stuff. I'm finding it especially useful in the mini because there is no gauges of any kind for anything other than tach and speed. I'll snap some pics tomorrow of it for you when it's light out.

First mod... exhaust. Very happy with it! Quicksilver catback.

Actually my VERY first *mod* was fixing that damn buzzing in the passenger side HK speaker! Man that was annoying!

Cool thanks

My drivers side door speaker buzzes too, the door panel is loose at the bottom, I love having a warranty again.

Velcro. I tried every kind of double sided foam tape and whatnot but nothing would stick to the dash. this velcro i bought at pep boys has really sticky back. It seems to be holding up pretty well.

Face and butt inconsistency increased(?) - I like it

I thought Molly's "face" was incomplete, so I added OEM chrome brake duct liners. I like the look.

I thought Molly's tail lights were glaringly over-chromed, especially with the muted black framing of the rear fog lights. So, I bought OEM tail light finishers and Plasti-Dipped them. I like the look.

A Light-In-Sight lens. No more ducking or framing to see the traffic light. A must for a MINI IMHO.

Motor On!

Rear 6x9 speakers in the back with the Front/Rear swap! :D The front/rear swap is probably the cheapest and easiest mod ever. Just remember to have a small screw driver and twist it and the pins pop right out.

Remember only for non-hifi

Stubby 1" antenna I got off eBay. Dramatically improved my gas mileage by 0.000001%!

I'm gonna have a "slightly" larger engine installed! Here's a picture of the crankshaft being inspected...
