So I finally ordered up the jcw front bumper along with a lot of other goodies for my newly acquired 08 base. I noticed there were different part numbers for the two bumpers for either the S or the base. Part number 51110404108 for the base, and part number 51110404109 for the S. Does anyone know what the difference is?

I am only curious because I am currently deciding whether or not to put on a S model hood or not. I know the grill and upper trim are apparently a different part number, but will this combo of a S hood and JCW base front bumper work together or am I missing something?

 

the difference lies on the bottom part, on the s the lower grill is not as deep as on the base, also the mounting points for the clips and bolts are a bit dfferent on the bottom of the bumper, i believe the clip points for the upper grill are different too

 

Width wise though all of the grills should all line up whether base or S ? The only difference is mounting clips, or maybe the shape. I don’t want to have a car that looks like its frowning or smiling becuase the upper or lower trim is wider with one.
