Greeting MINI owners; just passing on lessons learned. We recently had the check engine light come on, and I downloaded a P0420 fault code. We have a 2007 Cooper (non-s) with 58K miles on it. I learned from the dealer that there is a campaign to replace certain catalytic converters. Warranty on emission control system components is 8 yrs/80K miles. The dealer replaced the exhaust manifold/cat (it’s a single part) for free. Check with your local service department if you suspect you have a bad cat.
