Feels really good. A lot more responsive and the exhaust is definitely louder. Go for the tuning kit.

Original post says he has a 2011 MCSa.

There is no tune for 2011's at this point. So, spend your money in wheels and wait for the JCW tune to come out for 2011's. You're better off with your warranty in tact on these little cars. For what it's worth...The aftermarket "Tunes" out there for automatics are still giving people trouble with transmission shifting. I have the JCW automatic Stage 1 tune, tranny is even better with this tune and I have a warranty through MINI.

Get the wheels! Take Whistlers advise, drive a car with 18's, they do ride rougher. 17's will perform better. Just don't go too tall on the Sidewalls as the car looks better with the european lower profile tire. Nobody wants to see your car with truck tires on it.

Mini dealer in Greensboro says kit IS available for the 2011s and he can get me one in three days. Dealer here in Charlotte told me not available. Does anyone know?

Talk to Jerry Lester at Flow MINI in Winston Salem. He will take care of you and get you the right information.

I'd go with the JCW tune. Keep an eye out for some wheels you like in good shape in the Marketplace.

Heres why you should get parts or wheels before the JCW tune kit. One find out what you like about the MINI without anything just stock. Also find out what you want to improve on. When you get the JCW tune kit you are going tospend a lot of money on a one time deal. The kit as the intake, the exhaust and the tune. Though it will be warrantied which is good if you decide to get rid of it before the warranty is up, you will be happy when you find out it is not enough for you. I say wait for a little bit maybe 4 to 5 months because when the mod bug bites you will be infected and there will be nothing that will be able to cure you and your money will disappear fast . Plus for the kind of money desribed for the JCW kit you could get a nice set of wheels, tires, and a tune(or a various other assortment of parts).

I would select wheels. The right wheel tire combination cosmetically will set your Mini apart from every other stocker out there. For performance, I would select a different aftermarket exhaust, CAI and tune for much less then the cost for a JCW kit.
