$300 Credit with Dealership

So, prior to purchasing my Mini in November of 2010, I owned a 2008 Volvo C30. There was some lawsuit that took place and I received a $300 credit to use at any of their dealerships. I completely forgot about it until they just called to remind me that I have this credit.

Fortunately for me, they have Mini in their line of dealerships. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to spend it on Mini OEM parts.

Any ideas? Only things I've added is the rear bumper guard, the rubber insert for in front of the shifter, and the magnetic stone guards.

Appreciate any and all suggestions!

It would help what car you have and whether an automatic or MT...

If it were me, I'd spend it on something you interact with the most, steering wheel, different gear lever, hand brake lever, things like that. I really like the JCW CF gear shift a lot!

I Hear the JCW intake is very good and costs around $300.

Ooooh. I like that idea! I've also always liked the shift indicator, but doesn't add performance, or sound.

Hmmmm

I'd say JCW intake or JCW strut brace!

JCW gauge pods or the shift light. Or CF anything.

Anyone know how I can find the parts numbers for these items?

I think my #1 choice is the intake, if I can't get that, I'll move the the shift light indicator.

Been looking online, but haven't had much luck.

Shift lights won't help much if you're gonna be constantly frustrated with that miserable stock gear lever! Get the JCW one! =]

Also, I'd like to point out that the stock airbox with a good filter is incredibly good by itself!

K, I ordered the JCW Intake. I'll post details when it's installed.

Sounds good. Look forward to hearing all about it. I've been considering it as well.

Got it and installed it. Haven't had a chance to test drive, but took about 5 minutes to install.

Question: It didn't come with any instructions at all. I found the install instructions here (not that you really need them), http://www.minimania.com/pdfile/R56_JCW_CAI.pdf

You'll notice in the steps that it mentions installing a seal on the bottom section of the housing. There was not a seal in the box, or that existed when I removed the stock filter. The setup didn't really look like I needed a seal, but now I'm wondering if I need to order that part.

Thanks, and I'll post after a test drive!

Took for a spin. Definately seems more responsive. Not a major sound change. Worthy upgrade for free
