Seat swap possible between 2008 & 2011?

I just took delivery of a 2011 MINI Cooper (justacooper). It has the standard seats covered in leatherette. My original plans were to have Katzkin's Tuscany leather installed....that is, until the 2 hour ride home. After driving my 2008 MINI (also justacooper) for three years with the cloth Sport seats...I discoverd how very spoiled I am to the Sport seats. The standard seats proved very uncomfortable to me. The question: Can I have my leather installer simply swap all the seats between the two vehicles? I'm hoping there were no design changes between the year models and that mounting holes, etc. will perfectly align. Also hoping that the airbag connectors will interchange, and that airbag controllers are compatible. Any advice? I've already been warned to disconnect the battery cable on both vehicles during the exchange to prevent an airbag warning code from occuring.

One would think they should work with no problems. I bet your local parts guy at your dealership would know. BTW dealership people love food bring em some. Either way I am sure you will get an answer.
