For Mother's Day, get her a track day gift card. That was a funny story!

Now THAT is worthy of a Superbowl commercial! Talk to those "Cram it in the boot" guys, save MINI some money and put a good ad up for XLVI!

It’s funny you say that... I told mom the same thing. I need to make a commercial... it’ll show people of all ages like minis.

I am there with you.

She was the first one besides me to "test drive" my mini JCW. She popped the clutch and stomped, barked the wheels through 2 gears., and rowed through 3 and 4, then came to a turn and barked them down. Giggling the whole way.

Mom's cool, she has a sweet spot for manual tranny convertibles apparently. Glad to see mine isn't the only one!

We ended up having a nice conversation about the car's quality and how my dad has turned her into a nervous wreck. Thought that was funny.

Sounds like the drive home I gave my mom one day, except the speed wasn't that high and it was a narrow, winding 2 lane road up a hill.

Just to clarify, I could see the enf of the curve and there was no one in sight. Also the curve wans't very sharp. Having totaled a car 10 years ago I never ever risk anyone else. Be safe!

Cheers!

That is an awesome story! Thanks for sharing, I needed a smile You should get her a helmet and bring her up to VIR. I think Amtrak even has an auto train from FL to VA.
