15" wheels will not clear the front rotors on an R56 (S) .

If you search here, I'm sure you will find more specifics..but YES, some 15" wheels will fit over the R56 Cooper S brakes. There isn't much extra room for wheel weights, but I have personally test fit a 15x7 Kosei K1 racing wheel on a R56 S, along with a 15x8 6UL from 949racing, and a 15x5.5? Sport Edition wheel. The 6UL's would need the bolt holes drilled out for the 14mm wheel bolts and maybe just a little spacer if I remember correctly. 15's can fit on an R56 S.

i changed my search string and found a few threads discussing this, sorry for posting a previously asked question. sounds like it's possible but just barely, and only with a small subset of 15" wheels. just trying to get an inexpensive second set of wheels for track use and 15" tires are cheaper than 16s. but the rolling diameter is large enough they'd need a tall sidewall so steering response would probably suffer, making it a lousy idea anyway.

No problem. For track tires, 225/45/15's work great on MINI's! 205/50/15's aren't a bad choice either.

Given the close clearances and cost, might as well just stick with 16s. Probably be cheaper in the end vs running one of the very few 15s available

Tire rack will give you the options for 15 inch wheels and the fit is guaranteed. Yes, there are 15 inch wheel that will fit your MCS. They also have the software that will show you how it looks on a MCS. Have fun and good luck.

Alex, I'm sure, has 15 inch wheels that will fit. I see MCS with 15 inch wheels in NAM. Look under show me your wheels for example.....The new Tire Rack software displays a second generation MCS when you select a wheel. So, as long as there are multiple sizes for wheel brand and style you can get an idea a to what it looks like.
