R56 The Official Ice Blue Owners Club
Greetings! This seems like the best place for my first post as I am now part of this elite Ice Blue club. Your site was helpful in gaining information on my purchase, so thank you all for that. I started with this build from the MINI site.
And
And here is the end result real deal.

So far I love the go-kart like ride and low to the ground sporty feel. It is surprising how many nice higher end features this little “justa” has. Added the set of 17” John Cooper Works R113 replicas with Continental Extreme Contact DWS 205/45VR17 tires after purchase for the look I wanted. All set for any weather conditions with a long tread wear life and impressive performance reviews. Let’s hope I don’t hit any “Black Ice” while whipping through the mountain roads on my next ski trip.
Enjoy!

Interior pics?
Finally took delivery of my MCS on Monday night. The entire process was 3 days short of 8 weeks... What seemed like the longest 8 weeks! Now the fun begins, Mod-City! Today I installed the VIP exhaust, Craven Stubby Antenna, NM short throw shifter w/ cover, and the 5 piece Samco Silicone turbo hose kit. Dealer put on the JCW strut brace. Next week Craven gauges, Integral Sub system, MINI-Madness 22mm r. sway. Koni struts on order- I guess the sky is the limit!
I am considering the same color combo... could you show the interior, I am curious as to your choices and how they look. Is that the new grey leather?
thanks
My car is actually named after my cat as well -- he's a Blue Mackerel Maine Coon Cat named Elwood P. Blues.
I love MCCs! Just can't keep up with the shedding. My folks had two for quite a number of years. We think our grey cat is part MCC; he has the snowshoe paws and bi-level coat, among other features. But we got him from the shelter as a kitten, so we can't know for sure.

Here's my car in the SoCal MINI Maniacs parking area at the Motor4Toys charity car show Sunday. We brought donations for the Toys for Tots charity, then we drove over to Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks for our club's annual Christmas Party!

Nice list of initial mods too!
Replaced the chrome trim rings on the exterior with color matching Ice Blue... And the mods keep coming...... Koni's next!

LJ,,, I went with the Piano Black, I thought about the wood grain, but when I saw it on the board at MOL, it didn't look right to me, and the silver was to plain,,, IMHO.... But you need to order what works for you and not to let other sway your style.
Thanks for posting your pics, I've been working with the MINI site configurator with that combination of IB / PB doors / PB seats / PB color line. What dash did you choose? I've been back/forth with silver (looks great / modern), or English oak (looks great / traditional).

Do you know of anyone that makes full body center stripes for an Ice Blue/Black roof Mini Hatchback with the hood and deck stripes Black and the roof stripe in Ice Blue?
Does the Paino Black Interior have gloss black rings on all the vents? I have a base justa with silver dash and vent rings, but the steering wheel is has a gloss black ring. I'd like to replace all the interior rings with gloss black ones like the steering wheel. Haven't decided if I'll do the dash in a carbon fiber look or gloss black yet...
I'll go check out your album now too.
My IB/B got its' name plate today...

Eventually...i'll have an Ice Blue MINI of my own!
One week down, hopefully 6-7 more to go.
My wife spotted another Ice Blue during the St. Louis morning commute, she even called me to report it! Still not seeing many on the streets here.

I went an unusual way (for me) to work this morning. I found myself behind, then next to, then passing an Ice Blue/white MCS. The driver didn't notice me beeping my horn, but she smiled when I got in front of her and waved.
No pics, sorry!

2012 Ice Blue MCS with Checkered Roof treatment
...at MINI of STL. Stopped in today to check out a Roadster just for fun, and found out they'd checker-roofed an Ice Blue MINI.
I'm doing mine also, black on white, versus this one white on black. Nice to see one in person regardless!

They keep their "close at hand" inventory in this underground parking garage on the lot...sorta iffy photos, still you can get the general idea.
