Just took my black bonnet stripes off and added new black racing wheels... I love my Ice Blue Mini. It's so great not seeing a bunch of other Minis the same color.

Agreed! I've seen one here but it had FL plates. Love yours. I want black wheels...someday.

You know, I'm thinking that a bright red pinstripe might be fun to add. I should be able to find some vinyl tape just wide enough to cover up the black pinstripes on the stock decal. Hmm....

Have you considered using a dark orange like the Aston Martin racing team. That is the Gulf Oil company colors.

I considered the orange, but not a dark one. Actually, when we picked up Fenimore, they had a display case with mirror caps (among other things) in it. One was bright orange. My wife mentioned that if I got that, it would look like a Gulf Oil car.

If I were to go that route, I might swap out the white stripes for orange. Or I might just do the grille surround in orange.

The idea behind using a vinyl pinstripe is that I could easily change my mind down the road, so if I decide to go with a Gulf-inspired scheme later, it wouldn't be much trouble.

The red idea is from an old "bathtub" Porsche 356 we saw last weekend. It was (almost) "Fenimore blue", and had a red interior. It looked very sharp.

Love seeing all the Ice Blue photos. Mine is on the way, riding on the Integrity due in Baltimore on 10/28. I've only seen one other on the road here in St. Louis. Can't wait!

Me too!! I love this color. I've been driving her for about 6 weeks (weekends) and I've had quite a few compliments (from fellow women, ha ha!). A friend of mine wants a CM but is pissed because she can't get it in Ice Blue and is hoping it is available for CM when she is ready in 2013 or so.

My, currently nameless, Ice Blue Justa landed at the Port of Baltimore yesterday. Just a few more days until it arrives in St. Louis.

I painted my Ice Blue Clubman's roof white this week, it was the one option I really wanted that I could not order. So, now she has a white roof

I think I would have gone for a vinyl roof wrap, so you could change it back to blue if you decided to somewhere down the road. But I ordered mine with a white roof, so I probably shouldn't talk.

LOVE the white roof! That's one of the biggest downsides to the Clubman, IMO... No white roof option.

Actually, I was thinking that as well, until I saw the pictures posted here of the Ice Blue Clubman with the Silver roof and trim.

I would rather have the white roof because I live in the Mojave desert, but silver is not bad either. Black and Ice Blue has that retro look but just makes me feel toasted in 115-degree weather!!!

Anyways, I couldn't wait to do all the personalization because of a car accident. It wasn't in the plan for me to get a new car at this time, but since I have to have something to drive ....... well, let's talk "turkey" MINI dealer and get me in a 2012 MINI!!

I wanted the Clubman model and preferred the silver roof if I couldn't get white. My dealer took a look to see if they had something or if there was a Clubman available they could "get" in SoCal. The dealership did have an Ice Blue with the Silver roof/trim in whip me, beat me, make me take the S model!!

Sigh. Yeah, like that was a hard-fought battle on their part!! I would have been satisfied with 'justa'. At least it's coming with not too many options, didn't really want anything other than the Bluetooth/Ipod option which it does have and got a good deal on the financing.

Anyways, thanks for the person who posted their Clubman with the Silver trim! Even though I won't get to see MY car until Tuesday, a picture is worth a thousand words, and it's a very pretty couple of pictures. I agree with every Ice Blue (and potential) Ice Blue owner in this thread. Ice Blue is a very cool MINI color!

It is so very hard selling MINIs. I want to be a MINI dealer when I retire from my day job!

Finally took delivery of my MCS on Monday night. The entire process was 3 days short of 8 weeks... What seemed like the longest 8 weeks! Now the fun begins, Mod-City! Today I installed the VIP exhaust, Craven Stubby Antenna, NM short throw shifter w/ cover, and the 5 piece Samco Silicone turbo hose kit. Dealer put on the JCW strut brace. Next week Craven gauges, Integral Sub system, MINI-Madness 22mm r. sway. Koni struts on order- I guess the sky is the limit!

Here's IceBluesCat at his first "pitstop:" The parking lot at the Torrance Trader Joe's. On my wish list:

Trader Joe's in the high desert.
MINI dealership (for their service department, natch)

Oh well, I can go to MINI Ontario or I hear there's a MINI dealership in Las Vegas ....

I'm curious about how much and what type of bodyshop you had the roof repaint done. If you'd like to share, please do!

I also love how the color looks different in various light situations.

Looks great! Wish I lived in CA. I live in a crowded bumpy (road) New England state without much open road. Though I suppose I could find some if I got out more! work.

I bet your sunroof option is nice in New England. I live in the Mojave Desert, black roof or sunroof can you say Easy Bake MINI Oven? Just wanted either a light color all over or the silver roof option. I think the silver lends some shine to the blue by association.

There is only one thing missing (well two). I'd like a little IceBlue and Silver cartoon for my sig line, and also:

An "Ice Blue Owner's Club" badge!!! I asked for the badge already, for my color combo/R55 and for all the other IceBlue standard models/color combis. Would it be too much for a little IceBlueLove?
