R56 Potential 2011 MCS buyer questions.
Well I talked to the Drew this morning. He said that they want me to come in on Friday and sign the paper work then since the lease deal expires that day. They will put me in a loaner until the car gets here. They are thinking this weekend or early next week.
Gotta take sometime this Friday morning and pull off my parts from the GTI.
I was able to track it down on the dealers site in Austin Texas - 2011 MCS

i know there is a lease incentive out there but i think it will carry over to jan. sales are slow this time of the year and mini is facing more competitions now.
I just did the same thing at the same dealership. There were some marks left from getting my bonnet strips installed and a few other places where there was some scuffing. The salesman (and the sales manager) both took note of them and offered to take care of it if the scuffs did not disappear with the next wash and wax. I would have asked them to do it had I just driven 60 miles and knowing that a snow storm was coming the next day. (Snow shuts down everything here)
Make sure you do a good thorough walk around of the car and take note of any imperfections or problems that you see. Also, make sure you get to test the car and see if it runs as expected. They will take care of you since you have not taken delivery of the car until you drive away in it. The paperwork is for a "new" MINI, not one with scuffs on it or one with mechanical problems.
Mine had a few more miles on it than what the paperwork said. The information in the computer is for the car as it was delivered to the original dealership. It is not up to date, so the extra miles could have been test drives. Either way, if there is anything wrong with the car, the dealer is going to take care of it.

are you sure about signing the sales papers before inspecting the car on delivery? i wouldn't do it. there may be transport damage or other things that may not be right about it. then again, if you're leasing, then it may not matter...

I have in writing that if the car is not satisfactory then I owe them nothing and keep my car till they either make it right or they find me another or order one or I can back out altogether.
Yep and Im VERY **** about the condition of my car. When I got the GTI it was a good 30min of me checking it all out. I really dont for see any issues with that.

Oh Im buying, i guess thats why. But yeah vw owners arent cool anymore. They are gettin like civic owners lol around hee they follow you home and steal parts off your car.
Im hoping that Mini owners are more mature and too civilized for those kind of antics. Then again I think our wheels fit hondas too
Enjoy you new Mini

Just sold my GTI and bought a 2007 MCS. I've had every type of car you can imagine from a Mustang to a BMW to a Corvette, and the VW community was the most retarded bunch of them all. I loved the car, but won't miss sorting through all the stretch and poke threads.
Great looking car... Very similar to what I would spec for a 2011.
Yep they are taking care of the flag on top for nothing. Part is like around $200 so Im happy. Think it will really set it off and make it very unique in the RVA.
Congrats on the car. Looks great.
Sorry about the LSD comment, went on some poor research (from the GTI owner aka my brother). As someone else posted, it's similar to MINI's e-diff electronic nonsense.
All in, my 2010 Mini S was something like $30K but I picked it up at the end of the model year, so incentives included an option credit covering the cost of the prem pkg and the dealer threw in a few more $ bringing the price to where I needed to be.
