Shouldn't Mini extend the warranty on engines that had this problem seeing as they did nothing to remedy the problem for 3 years ?

 

I sure hope so for the sake of all the R56 owners. My R53 is getting a bit long in the tooth, but with the problems the R56 MCS engine has I'm not sure I'll be buying one. The jury is still out on the changes made to the 2011 models.
