At cruising speed, not at a stop...delay speed IS adjusted by pressing in the end of the stalk button. However, the manual only seems to describe how to set the auto wipers but not the basic delay. At least I was able to engage 1 setting to slow the dang things down. All our technology and no one has come up with something better than wipers. Maybe Mr. Dyson needs to fix that...? I agree that the factory wipers are of low quality, mine scrape and screech at 2000 miles, car delivered in may 2010. Saw some rain-x ones using surgical grade silicone...as Mini thinks mine are good for, as they put it, " a minimum of 9 thousand miles, unless I would like to buy a set.

 

If you were to read thru the posts in your last thread on this subject then you would come across post 16 which tells you WERE to find the adjustment procedure.

And if it is not on that set of pages because your may be a different year then it should be close to that.
