R56 Rain-X?
I put some on and quit like it. The alternative that I was looking at, Aquapel, is apparently much longer lasting, but wow it sure is a lot more expensive too. I can get a bottle of Rain-X for under $5 and Aquapel was going to run me nearly $40
and even then only available at some auto-glass shops.

Great question!
It's only slippery I think when it is wet.
So with the water beading and flying off, it isn't like
a film of water. So the first edge, I think it wiped
the windshield completely dry. The second and third
edge just stuck. I mean moved some which might
have been part of the problem. But moved maybe
1/10 the speed with huge frictional forces.
I forget the brand of those things too. Had a lifetime
warranty. Lasted well over 10 years. I've been hard pressed
since then to have a set last a year or two.
Oh, another minus. This a big one and why I love rain-X but
usually only use it on trips.
- if you use a cover, let's say a nice one, like the NOAH brand,
it smudges the windshield. AND, the smudges mover around
all over as you take the thing on and off. It's super annoying.

You can get Aquapel for a lot less thru Amazon or Tirerack.I've used both and they are both excellent. Both bead water off the glass identically when first applied.
Aquapel takes a little longer to apply (it goes on a bit more hazy at first) but it can last for months. Stays on the glass for much much longer than Rain-X. But you have to make sure the glass is clean before applying and if you later clean your windshield with a detergent or alcohol based cleaner, you can inadvertently clean it off.
Rain-X goes on quick and easy but lasts less time; usually a few weeks. When it starts to wear off the water will smear on the windshield making it harder to see (worse than no Rain-X at all), so it's important to keep applying Rain-X every so often.
Rain-X Glass Cleaner/Windshield Washer Fluid - I find it doesn't work as well as pure Rain-X. Not worth the extra $ IMHO.
As a stormchaser for the last 17 years I can tell you I'd never drive in the rain without Rain-X. When I first started using way back then, it would streak badly when it needed to be reapplied. I think they've changed the formulation over time. It doesn't seem to streak as badly, but also doesn't seem to last as long as it used to. I haven't tried Aquapel, and at nearly $40 per application I probably won't. A $6 bottle of Rain-X lasts me a couple years. $40 worth of Rain-X would last me over a decade.
