Spending time on things like variable mood lighting and the openometer seems silly until they have a decent engine-monitoring capability.
You can add the two JCW gauges to it if you wanted...it's almost like the Chrono pack..

Ok, yes the continuous ambient lighting is cool... However, can I change it back to the single color of choice? I held the toggle switch for another 10 seconds and the continuous mode appears to be stuck on.

Thank you ahead of time for helping me switch it back...

I don't think you hold it to get it back to a single color. My MA showed it to me but I haven't touched it so I can't remember. But I thought she just hit it once to switch it again.

Yup, exactly this.

can I disable the single cycle?

The ambient lighting is really cool, and I think the constant cycle is a neat feature!! I have a 2012 MCS, and the lights go through 1 color cycle when I first open the door, and then stay on the solid color I've set during normal vehicle operation - is there a way anyone knows of to disable the single color cycle when you first open the door? Thanks!

I love the changing ambient lighting on my '11. And I plan to add some footwell lights based on a post that is on this forum somewhere, something about how-tos for girls... the gal added small LED strips up under the knee panels and I think that would be awesome!
Yes, gauges would be nice, for oil and coolant temps... but since they already had colored lighting, it was probably just a couple of minutes of programming to make them cycle. Whereas, adding an (admittedly needed) gauge takes a lot more effort. We need BOTH!!

Had I known about this before signing, I'd have retested a GTI...
