2010 MCS or 2011 MCS?

So taking the money aspect out of the equation (because I know some great deals can be had with 2010's right now): Would any of you pick up a 2010 MCS right now or wait for a 2011 MCS? I wouldn't order MINI Connected or the new navigation system anyway so you can take that out of the equation as well. Basically it all comes down to the extra 8 HP, addition of Valvetronic, front air dam cutouts, LED brake lights and all black interior pieces rather than the silver.

Also, any of you know if the burble (reportedly being put back into the 2011) also applies to automatic transmissions or is it just a manual thing?

If I could wait, I would get the 2011. I believe the small wait and the refresh changes make it well worth it.

yes the burble will be on the auto and manuel, when you press the sport button. I think the deals, well at least the 1.9 apr end on the 31st.

Honestly money is the big reason to go with the 2010 now. The 2011 will have some new changes that will make it a small step up but is that small step worth the money only you can decide

I finally shredded all the information about the 2010 MCS I was thinking about getting and I've decided to wait until the 2011. The little things like the slightly revised interior, return of the burble, the cutouts in the front bumper, 181hp...it all just seems good enough to wait. The only problem is waiting. I hope the configurator on MINIUSA will go up soon. I will be killing a lot of time on that site.

If money isn't in the equation than you should definitely wait. Why get the older car if it wasn't for the deal?

I figure the configurator should go up any day this week. I think they wanted to wait until the financing and option specials ran out before they actually updated the site.

MCCSonMymind, I ordered one of my MINIs and seemed to have taken forever. When it did arrive, I instantly forgot about the wait. I probably will order another MINI someday and will go through it all again. Also, Motoringfile.com drove a 2011 MCS hardtop during the MTTS and they liked it. http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/08/...per-s-refresh/

thanks, ftttubrgcm. i'm beginning to think the wait will be worthwhile. i might as well order it to my specs (although very simple specs) rather than search around the dealerships but we'll see what happens.

And also if you get the HID headlamps, they are now adaptive.

FYI, you can go order/build one right this very minute. You know all the options, nothing really changes except adaptives and side mirrors, so go build!!
